The pioneer of eco-chic
Founded in 2019 in San Francisco, Italia A Collection is one of those intersectional brands for which fashion and sustainability are forever linked. This is the first time that a collection of elegant and timeless womenswear is also biodegradable, designed with minimalism and respect for nature. Italia Hannaway has always been creative, and her studies at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco introduced her to environmental issues, eco-friendly materials, and regenerative fashion. She overcame these challenges by creating an innovative brand, which was recognized by the United Nations on Earth Day for its biodegradable jumpsuit at an event in San Francisco.
Limited editions of already iconic pieces
The brand's seasonal collections reflect current fashion trends in sustainable garments, meticulously crafted through a circular creation process . The Zero Waste jumpsuit, made from striped hemp and organic cotton, is a spring wardrobe staple, with its crossover collar, fitted waistband, and side pockets. Another favorite is the mocha wrap dress, a beautiful piece made from Tencel®, a textile fiber derived from wood pulp, that celebrates the resilience and powerful beauty of women. Italia a Collection's recent spring collection includes a flowy pink palazzo pant set, also in cream, and a neutral floral wrap skirt set in organic cotton.
Local, ethical and sustainable production
Italia A Collection carefully crafts each garment in its San Francisco workshop, where a team of seamstresses apply their artisanal expertise. Small-batch production allows for meticulous attention to detail, superior quality, and minimal waste. The brand is committed to reducing its environmental footprint by reclaiming all material scraps, using plant-based and regenerative fabrics, and optimizing resources for more sustainable production. These women's designer garments are available on the Italia A Collection website and at Wolf & Badger, providing international access to ethical and inspiring fashion. Italia Hannaway also participates in numerous community projects with sustainable brands and will soon be working with responsible fashion boutiques in Santa Monica and Los Angeles.
